Client Objectives
CommerceHub is a leading provider of cloud-based e-commerce fulfillment and marketing solutions for large retailers, marketplaces, consumer brands and their suppliers. CommerceHub acquired the Seattle-based company, Mercent, and assumed responsibility for its office. The Seattle location’s lease was expiring. They needed to reevaluate the size of the 18,000 square foot office due to staff reductions since acquiring the firm.Results
After performing a space utilization analysis, Cresa quickly determined that Commerce- Hub could ‘right-size’ the office to approximately 1/3 of its current footprint.
A market search identified twenty-three potential new locations that would meet the firm’s spatial needs. After narrowing down the list to a few properties, Cresa negotiated a sublease for space in a building located in a premier location that improved the staff’s commutes and with better proximity to amenities.
Once a site was chosen, Cresa provided Project Management services, including design and construction bids, project oversight, value engineering, FF&E bids and move coordination.
