Scott Clayton of Cresa Global Inc., the world’s only global commercial real estate advisory firm that exclusively represents occupiers, represented Kannar in the lease acquisition.

Kannar integrates and optimizes seed applied technologies for high-yielding crop establishment. With ongoing research, its team of experts know how chemistries will react on seeds, and how to place them properly to prevent quality issues and maximize yield. In February 2021, Kannar and LowMu Tech, the innovator of the “Cleaner. Safer. Soy™” alternative for graphite and talc known as Dust™, announced a new collaboration to bring growers new, micro-plastic free options for seed drying agents and seed finishers. This allows Kannar to offer new innovations of seed applied technologies to seed companies around the word.

To support Kannar’s rapid growth, its team needed to lease a 50,000 – 80,000 square foot distribution center with 20 percent office space. With spring and summer being the company’s peak times of business, Cresa faced a time limit to find new space that met all Kannar’s requirements.

Cresa was able to locate a 57,621 square foot manufacturing facility in an ideal geographical location, approximately four miles from Kannar’s existing facility at 2390 Satellite Blvd. The space includes 29,675 square feet of warehouse space, 9,524 square feet of office space, and a 18,412 square foot production area. Kannar was able to move into its new facility five months early to catch its busy season. The new space will support the company’s growth projections for at least five years, enabling Kannar to continue serving its clients in the most efficient way possible.

“Kannar is growing at an exceptional speed, due to the talent of our lab team and the great relationships we have with seed distributors worldwide,” says Sam Cloete, President & CEO of Kannar Earth Sciences. “We are very pleased with the Cresa team, and especially the hard work from Scott Clayton, to identify a new space that would accommodate our current and anticipated needs. Being able to relocate in time for our busiest season means we can help more growers meet their crop establishment needs.”

The property is three-fourths of a mile from the I-85 interchange and one mile from the Mall of Georgia. The space includes 14 docks doors, one drive-in, a 30’ clear height, ample parking spaces, and 40’ x 45’ columns with 60’ loading bays.
