Corporate Relocation Expert Foley joins Cresa New Jersey as Managing Principal

Veteran broker and corporate relocation expert Dan Foley has joined Cresa’s New Jersey team, where he’ll serve large office and industrial clients throughout the Northeast corridor.

Foley, who joins the tenant representation firm from Savills, will serve as a managing principal in Cresa’s Rutherford office. The company announced the move while describing Foley as a prolific dealmaker, citing his role in major corporate leases such as the New Jersey Turnpike Authority’s 210,000-square-foot commitment in Woodbridge and Eisai Co. Ltd.’s move to a 335,000-square-foot space in Nutley.

Over the years, Foley has also represented International Paper in more than 9 million square feet of deals throughout the U.S.

“Adding a powerhouse like Dan to our team elevates our capabilities and deepens our market expertise,” Cresa President Greg Schementi said. “His exceptional work on behalf of tenants and his proven ability to build lasting client relationships make him an invaluable asset to Cresa. We look forward to the energy he brings to our team.”

Foley, currently board chairman for the Bergen Community College Foundation, was one of the region’s top producers during his time with Savills, according to a news release. Previously, he was the founder of tenant representation firm Strategic Alliance Partners, having started his career at CBRE.

Cresa added that Foley is a past recipient of industry awards such as the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors’ Largest Office Lease for New Jersey, for both John Wiley & Sons’ 386,400-square-foot headquarters lease in Hoboken and the New Jersey Turnpike Authority deal, along with NAIOP New Jersey’s Deal of the Year for Eisai’s move to Nutley.

“Cresa’s considerable momentum in New Jersey and across the U.S. is exciting, and I am looking forward to being part of an organization whose robust platform I can leverage to deliver even better value and results to my clients,” Foley said.

Jason Fray, managing principal and Cresa’s New Jersey market leader, added: “As we continue to build our presence here in New Jersey, the arrival of a brokerage professional with Dan’s track record of success is a real nod to our occupier-focused platform and reputation for delivering best-in-class services to our valued clients. We are thrilled he has joined our growing team.”
