When Cresa partnered with Audi on two dealership projects in Pennsylvania — a ground-up development in West Chester and a new-build plus adaptive reuse project in Wynnewood — our team welcomed the opportunity.
Audi’s global brand standards are exacting, and that level of precision is exactly the kind of challenge we embrace. Every dealership must reflect the same architectural language, layout, material palette, and customer experience. Delivering that consistency across two distinct sites required thoughtful planning, technical coordination, and disciplined execution.
BALANCING BRAND INTERGRITY
Both sites shared a defining characteristic: they ran parallel to active rail corridors operated by Amtrak and SEPTA. This proximity required a higher level of coordination, as setbacks, safety parameters, and jurisdictional reviews needed to be carefully addressed without compromising Audi’s strict global standards. Through deliberate planning and proactive engagement with stakeholders, the team was able to align regulatory compliance with brand precision, ensuring full site utilization while preserving the integrity of the design.
For many developments, site constraints can prompt design concessions. For Audi, consistency is paramount. Building orientation, showroom placement, service circulation, façade materials, and interior configurations are dictated by global specifications. Cresa served as the strategic bridge between the client, municipal authorities, rail stakeholders, and the broader project team — protecting both compliance and brand integrity at every stage. Each decision was evaluated through two lenses: regulatory responsibility and design fidelity.
WYNNEWOOD STRATEGIC COORDINATION
In Wynnewood, the coordination extended even further. The new dealership needed to come online while the former facility was repositioned into a pre-owned showroom. Sequencing construction while maintaining operational continuity required careful planning and clear communication. The objective was not simply completion, but a seamless transition — structurally and operationally.
Results
Ultimately, both Pennsylvania dealerships were delivered in full alignment with Audi’s global standards. These projects demonstrate Cresa’s ability to navigate complex regulatory environments while upholding the client’s requirements. By integrating strategic problem-solving with disciplined execution, we made sure that Audi’s identity remained uncompromised while unlocking the full potential of each site. The result is two purpose-built facilities that stand as consistent extensions of a global luxury brand.
