Client Objectives
The client required a full ground-up development of a tractor trailer repair and service facility, including full site and municipal approvals to support the intended use. The facility was designed as a warehouse-type structure to support ownership’s repair activities while also accommodating the longer-term storage of tractors and trailers.
A key objective was securing a prime location with convenient access for the trucking industry. The selected 20+ acre parcel, located adjacent to Route 19 and minutes from the Pennsylvania Turnpike, provided excellent regional connectivity.
Results
The completed project included a 60,000 SF facility supporting repair operations, high-bay parts storage, and office space. A separate 5,000 SF support building was also constructed to house road service equipment and tools.
Specialty systems were installed to support service operations, including grease and oil separation systems, lubricant supply systems, compressed air systems, and a 30-ton overhead crane.
Cresa’s services included municipal approvals, design procurement management, capital budget management, construction services procurement, cost estimating, construction administration, FF&E procurement, and project close-out.
