Client Objectives

A strategic framework was needed to guide the development of a new children’s science museum, including defining a sustainable operating model, aligning programming with community needs, and establishing a phased plan for long-term growth.

Results

We developed a comprehensive business plan addressing all facets of the proposed museum, including mission alignment, operations, staffing, and community engagement. The effort incorporated research, surveys, and outreach to ensure the concept reflected both organizational goals and regional demand.

Based on these findings, Cresa recommended a phased implementation approach, beginning with an 11,000 SF interactive STEM facility located within Fair Oaks Mall. This initial phase created an accessible environment for testing programming, building an audience, and establishing operational stability while supporting future expansion.

Through strategic planning and early-phase execution, Cresa positioned the organization for long-term growth, providing a scalable model that supports continued development toward a larger, permanent regional science center.
