Year in the Life - Cresa San Diego

This month marks Cresa San Diego’s first year at their new office in Cardiff, CA. Alongside this move, the company has expanded its team by welcoming four talented professionals, strengthening its capabilities, and enhancing its commitment to delivering exceptional client services.

Cresa’s new office, situated in a prime location, boasts sweeping ocean views and is conveniently located within walking distance of the beach. The move not only provides a rejuvenating work environment but also reflects the company’s growth and ongoing commitment to serving the San Diego business community.

After the height of the pandemic, the San Diego office wanted to cultivate an office environment that represents the culture of their team. They conducted a collaborative workplace study with in-house experts and discovered the priorities of their team – coastal, walkable amenities, and a space that encouraged social gathering. With these priorities at the forefront, they surveyed San Diego County and landed on the perfect option, an office in Cardiff by the Sea with ocean views, restaurants and retail directly downstairs. They were able to sublease their space at the time, located in Carmel Valley, and built-out an office space with a large open area for entertaining.

The move marked a new chapter for Cresa San Diego, as within the first year of moving, they added four individuals to their team. Quickly after the move, they welcomed two new team members, Alex Fenske, and Shane Coppedge. Coppedge serves as Vice President of Project Management for Cresa, with Fenske acting as Client Coordinator/Advisor. Then, early this year, they announced the return of tenant representation real estate leader Bob McGriff and the addition of life science facility expert Jennifer Burchell. A former Cresa Carolinas Principal, McGriff joined as a Principal in the San Diego Office, with Burchell joining as a Senior Lab and Facility Planner.
