Cresa's managing principal honored by Department of Defense for patriotic support

OMAHA, Neb. – Eric Rose, managing principal for Cresa was recently presented with a Patriot Award by Ron Strawn, Lou Wagner and Gary Valasek, Nebraska Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve volunteers. The award was in recognition of outstanding support of his employee serving in the Guard and Reserve.

Eric was nominated for being highly supportive of the Nebraska Air National Guard by his reserve component employee, Chief Master Sgt. Paul Buss, a member of 155th Air Refueling Wing in Lincoln.

In his nomination, Buss wrote, “During my time as a Cresa employee, I have not been required to deploy for any long duration of time. However, my home-station duties require me to attend to National Guard business outside of regularly scheduled weekend drills. Eric has never questioned my National Guard requirements and has supported me by freely allowing for my absence from my Project Management duties, and not requiring any adjustments to my Cresa salary during these times. The support of my National Guard duties by Eric and the entire office is greatly appreciated, and I thought it appropriate to recognize this through the ESGR Patriot Award.”

“The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them have answered their nation’s call to serve,” said Wagner in his presentation. “Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s Guard and Reserve units, and it’s a pleasure for me to recognize Eric and Cresa with this award.”

ESGR, a Department of Defense program, seeks to foster a culture in which all employers support and value the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States.
