Matt Apter is a founding Managing Principal of Cresa Madison and has more than 25 years of commercial real estate experience. Throughout his career, Matt has advised clients on hundreds of commercial real estate transactions totaling more than $1 billion in transaction volume, ranging from local assignments to complex, multi-market transactions across the country.
Matt provides a broad range of commercial real estate advisory and brokerage services, including tenant representation, lease negotiations and renewals, property acquisitions and dispositions, site selection, build-to-suit projects, portfolio strategy, and transaction management. He also represents sellers and buyers of commercial real estate in both owner-user and investment sale transactions.
Matt began his real estate career with Cresa in Washington, D.C., where he focused exclusively on representing occupiers and buyers. In 2005, he returned to Wisconsin and helped establish Cresa’s occupier-focused platform in Southern Wisconsin. His practice has since expanded to include corporations, institutions, nonprofits, property owners, and investors throughout Wisconsin and across the country.
Matt works closely with clients to understand their business, financial, and real estate objectives. He combines market knowledge, financial analysis, strategic planning and experienced negotiation to help clients evaluate alternatives, minimize risk, and achieve favorable outcomes.
