Karra Guess is Managing Principal of Cresa and directly involved with the firm’s vision, growth and strategy for the Texas region. Karra couples her 25+ years of commercial real estate experience with her extensive financial acumen. She is a licensed CPA with a broad background in general management, financial management, real estate and consulting, along with vast experience in complex lease negotiations and considerable knowledge in GAAP, accounting policies and procedures, financial projections for procurement of debt or funding and expertise in FASB lease accounting.

Karra holds dual MBA degrees from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business and London Business School. She received her BBA in accounting and marketing from Southern Methodist University.
Karra has been recognized as CFO of the Year by the Dallas Business Journal, Outstanding CFO for the D CEO Financial Executive Awards and amongst the Dallas 500 most influential leaders in North Texas. She is also a member of the Dallas Regional Chamber’s Leadership Dallas alumni class and previously recognized as a Dallas Business Journal 40 Under 40 and Heavy Hitter. Karra has served on the Boards of numerous charitable organizations including Westlake High School Booster Club, Daughters of the American Revolution AC Chapter, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and American Heart Association. She also serves as a CASA Guardian Ad Litem.
