Cresa Arranges Expansion for Women's NonProfit

Cresa’s Jane Roundell and Leslie Keidan find additional office in building for MADRE.

The New York office of Cresa has arranged a 3,000-square-foot office expansion on the sixth floor of 121 West 27th Street for MADRE. The international women’s advocacy non-profit organization currently has a 5,000-square-foot office on the third floor of the building. Advising MADRE in the leasing were Managing Principal Jane Roundell and Vice President Leslie Keidan.

“The organization has a noble mission and has grown very rapidly,” says Ms. Roundell. “We are honored to have been able to help them.”

Adds Ms. Keidan, “By taking additional space within the building, our client saved significant relocation costs.”

MADRE focuses on global women's rights, helping those in areas of conflict and natural disasters. In addition, the group works with women who are victims of sexual violence. Its services include legal advocacy, counseling, educational programs and grants, reaching women in countries in South America, Africa and the Middle East.

The organization will take possession of the new space in January 2019. The owner of the building, Saampro, was represented inhouse by Vijay Mehra. The asking rent for the five-year lease was $40-per-square-foot.
