Cresa’s New York Project Management Services team, led by James A. Pirot and Ronald Zeccardi, has successfully completed Flexpoint Ford’s revolutionary new offices at One Vanderbilt. The 30,000-square-foot space, located on 61st floor of the Grand Central District tower, includes multiple smart building technology features designed by global technology developer wtec, such as energy efficient lighting systems and premium IAQ (indoor air quality) temperature controls that optimize users’ overall workplace experience while providing greater sustainability compliance.
With interiors designed by New York and Miami-based architect SPECTOR Companies, the open floor plan format is supported by strategic technology platforms offering advanced functionality capable of reducing energy usage as much as 70 percent. Moreover, traditional thermostats have been replaced with wtec smart sensors, which integrate with the building’s temperature data to provide greater interior HVAC control.
“We worked with a great group who delivered a holistic space in an aesthetically elevated setting that is truly energy efficient,” said Mr. Pirot. “This is a game-changing office environment that is supported by Cresa’s Smart Building Solutions initiative in partnership with the smartengine|wtec platform.”
Clune Construction served as the project’s general contractor.
