Client ObjectivesColony NorthStar was a growing real estate private equity company and decided to go public in 2015 and wanted to find a way to bring all their people together in one location where there would be a more open and collaborative experience.
Many options throughout the greater Southern California market were evaluated. The operations were split between Santa Monica and El Segundo and there seemed to be no clear preference for where the group would locate until Cresa exposed all of the benefits to occupying space in Downtown Los Angeles.
With the renaissance of downtown, many of the younger employees were excited about the potential to live and work downtown.
A bold decision was made to design and build very modern, transparent and collaborative space. The result was a 54,000 square feet of beautiful office space on two high rise floors where there are only a handful of private offices and plenty of great public areas to stimulate conversations and ideas.
