Client Objectives

The TJX Companies, Inc. had been utilizing their Las Vegas distribution center as a regional hub for the acceptance and delivery of both Marshalls and TJ Maxx products. Due to their extensive growth, they expanded into the Phoenix market and purchased land to build a new distribution center that would service Marshalls’ regional requirements allowing the existing Las Vegas location to service TJ Maxx’s regional requirements.

Results

After conducting an extensive selection process to partner with a local representative who could appropriately complete the Phoenix distribution center for TJX, Cresa’s Project Management team was awarded the job to oversee the project from a boots-on-the-ground perspective for TJX (headquartered in Boston, MA). Cresa’s daily on-site supervision and coordination with all entities--including city municipalities, the power company, design team, general contractor, owner vendors and subcontractors (e.g. roofing consultant, material testing, special inspections, material handling equipment vendor, data cabling, security, etc.) provided TJX a partner who is looking out for their best interests. The project was completed within the anticipated budget and schedule. Cresa was able to support TJX in creating the largest ground-up project they have constructed to date.
