San Diego

As part of the largest tenants-only commercial real estate platform in the world, Cresa San Diego tracks office and industrial trends in numerous submarkets extending from the U.S./Mexico border north to Camp Pendleton, an area accommodating approximately three million people which make up San Diego County.  The county is divided into three distinct areas: South County, Central County and North County.   South County has a large concentration of industrial activity, including maquiladora operations on both sides of the border. Central County (a highly sought after area) is made up of San Diego’s downtown central business district and extends north to include the University Towne Centre and Del Mar Heights Class A office markets.  Central County consists of a mix of office, corporate headquarters, life science, and warehouse/distribution industrial product.  North County, like South County, has a larger percentage of industrial space users as well as a lesser mix of office and R&D companies.

The economic base of San Diego County has become very diverse with major contributors being government contracting in the fields of defense and aerospace engineering, tourism, manufacturing, biotechnology, healthcare, finance and education.

Cresa San Diego

Cresa’s San Diego office is led by three managing principals with an average tenure in excess of 30 years’ experience in the San Diego County market.  The experienced team includes a mix of long term tenant representative brokers, former landlord brokers from the largest national brokerage firms, aggressive young brokers with strong real estate and finance training, and a full-time project manager.  Their impeccable reputation and work ethic is evidenced by their long term, proven track record in the marketplace.

Our mission is to provide customized solutions exclusively for corporate space users by offering fully integrated services that align their real estate needs with their business plans, delivering maximum cost savings and exceeding expectations.

Our vision is to be the exception in the commercial real estate industry: A company that is service-oriented rather than transaction-oriented, with advisors who are client focused not deal focused.

We are guided by the concept, “Do the Right Thing,” both internally and externally. We will always do what is right for the client’s best interest and put that interest before our own. We treat our clients and employees with respect, dignity and fairness in all matters.

“In the end, we ended up with a deal that was far more favorable economically than my own best case scenario.  You over-delivered on your promises and were tenacious when I think many brokers would have counseled us to just meet in the middle.  Your communication during the entire process, and the integrity you demonstrated to all parties, drove us to an outcome that I would say was an eleven on a ten point scale.  Your personal attention to our transaction was greatly appreciated.”
CEO - BYCOR General Contractors
“In our first meeting, you let us know what to expect on the open market as well as the renewal process.  You then provided accurate market information to back it up.  You were able to obtain terms and conditions that started seven months before our lease expired and our rent was reduced by over 57 percent for the first seven months of our lease.  In addition, our lease rate over the term was reduced considerably from our old lease.  The entire process took less than one month, so we were able to realize the savings very quickly.  I can not tell you how important this is to us during these tough economic conditions.”
President - Dowling Construction, Inc.
“It is a pleasure working with you on our office space needs.  It’s amazing that we have been working together for over 17 years.  In each instance, Employment & Community Options was looking for new or additional office space.  You are an excellent representative for the tenants’ interests.  You quickly learned about our needs and requirements and sought out appropriate sites for us to visit.  In each situation, we located offices that met our needs and matched our budget restrictions.  I would highly recommend your services to anyone looking for a commercial real estate broker. ”
Nancy Batterman
CEO - E&CO, Formerly Employment & Community Options
“Cresa promoted themselves as ‘Tenant Advocates.’  Had I not suffered through three previous brokers, I probably would not have given that term a second thought.  Being unfamiliar with the term, I asked Glenn what it meant.  He explained that Cresa represented tenants only, not landlords or owners.  Based on my previous experience, I found this dynamic to be most unusual.  In fact, one of the previous brokers actually tried to represent us as well as the owner of the building.  The tremendous price and terms Glenn ultimately negotiated on our behalf came as a direct result of this independent representation.”
Ken Wilson
CFO - Preston Estate Planning, A.P.L.C.
“Over the course of six weeks, with integrity, professionalism and deal-making savvy, you addressed and pressed every point of the proposed lease with the landlord, extracting incremental concessions during each phone call that represented for us many thousands of dollars in savings.  The outcome, as you know, was an extraordinarily attractive lease agreement - far more attractive than I had envisioned in my dreams.  I can say with certainty, you extracted every concession that could be extracted from the landlord, and there was no money left on the table.  We couldn’t be happier.”
Kenneth N. Bender
Founder and Managing Director - Software Equity Group, L.L.C.
“WAXIE Sanitary Supply has had a 14 plus year business relationship with Don Mitchell that has been and is very instrumental in the development of our business infrastructure needs.  Don wanted to first understand our needs and then began helping fulfill our requirements that others were unable to perform to our satisfaction.  Since Don has moved to Cresa San Diego, the relationship has grown stronger and our faith in his advice has been earned through dedication and hard work.  In short, he has our trust and confidence by always being our personal ‘Tenant’s Advantage.’”
VP, Corporate Operations/IT - WAXIE Sanitary Supply
