San Diego Spaces: Eppig Brewing’s Epic Tasting Room

It's no secret that San Diego is famous for its beautiful weather, tasty waves, and local brews. Located in the heart of Point Loma's harbor, Eppig has created a spectacular venue for beer and sunshine lovers alike.

Eppig Brewing’s Waterfront Biergarten is the company’s first satellite tasting room. Nestled in a private marina, the tasting room features panoramic views of the bay and the surrounding boatyard. Every seat is the best in the house thanks to the 2,000 square foot wrap-around patio, encompassing the building.

“I think the vision has always been a beer garden. And outdoor, drinkable, approachable beers, because here in San Diego we have summer weather almost all year,” says Eppig. “To be able to create that kind of atmosphere out along the water and to be able to share beers with an audience down there, I think, is the vision we all share for Point Loma.” (San Diego Magazine)

While the tasting room is mostly outdoors, you can still feel the salty breeze at a table inside from the six large roll-up doors. The rustic interior provides the open space with a cozy atmosphere and serves as the perfect after-work spot to catch up with friends.

Featuring 20 operating taps on hand, you can enjoy Eppig Brewing's wide selection of suds and specialty lagers such as their 2018 GABF Gold Medal Winner Vienna Alger and Super Schwarz German Black Lager.

The family-friendly space also welcomes guests to bring their own food or pair their beers with fresh snacks prepared in-house. Mitch’s Seafood, Point Loma Seafood, and the Brigantine are just a few of the nearby and delicious neighborhood favorites.
