Experience

As a Managing Principal for the Washington, DC region, Rich Rhodes is responsible for maintaining the success of the Washington, DC; Suburban Maryland; Baltimore, Maryland; and Northern Virginia offices. His priorities include transaction management, business development, recruiting, retention, managing project management, and he is the Broker of Record for Cresa Washington DC. Throughout his 30 years of experience in representing tenants, Mr. Rhodes’ skill set includes negotiating complex lease transactions, structuring sale leasebacks, evaluating lease/buy alternatives, and analyzing equity opportunities. Several of these major real estate transactions that are listed below have enabled him to build a solid base of prominent regional and national clients.

Mr. Rhodes served as Chairman of Cresa National’s Board of Directors during the 2013-14 term and was subsequently named as the global CEO during calendar year 2015 to oversee responsibilities including steering the mission and vision of the firm, overall strategic planning, quality management, and marketing and recruiting initiatives on a national level.

Mr. Rhodes has written on the future of the Washington metropolitan commercial real estate market for REALTOR Magazine, "What Makes CEO's Successful" for SmartCEO magazine and has lectured at Johns Hopkins University Business School on the state of commercial leasing and at Tulane University on what it takes to be successful. He also served as a guest broker advising on tenant lease structuring for Washington Office Magazine.
