Large Houston software company relocates headquarters

NetIQ, one of the largest software companies in the Houston area, will move its headquarters.

NetIQ will move from Park Towers North at 1233 W. Loop South to 515 Post Oak Blvd. in the third quarter, relocating about 200 employees to the recently renovated building in the Post Oak Park submarket in the Galleria area.

Gary Lawless Jr. and David Price, in the Houston office of Cresa, represented NetIQ in its 55,380-square-foot lease. Cresa’sTroy Malish provided project management support.

Brad Fricks and Paul Coonrod of Stream Realty Partners represented the landlord, Columbia Property Trust.

“We realized it was time to relocate our NetIQ headquarters in order to change our workplace environment so that we could create, promote and foster a collaborative, energetic atmosphere for our employees, partners and customers," Gary Rigsby, senior director of finance and operations of The Attachmate Group, NetIQ’s parent company, said in a statement.

NetIQ ranked third on the Houston Business Journal’s Largest Houston-Area Software Development Companies Listbased on its 250 local employees. It reported $320 million in 2012 revenue, according to Houston Business Journal research.
