Cresa Washington DC Represents Stanley Martin Homes in Two Relocations Totaling 35.2K SF in Reston and Chantilly, VA

Firm Provides Transaction, Project Management Services

Washington, D.C.—March 15, 2016—Cresa Washington DC recently provided transaction and project management services for Stanley Martin Homes (SMH) in two separate relocations from 11111 Sunset Hills Reston, VA. Cresa is the world’s largest corporate real estate advisory firm that exclusively represents tenants and specializes in the delivery of integrated services.

Stanley Martin Homes, one of the largest homebuilders in the Mid-Atlantic Region, relocated its headquarters to 11710 Plaza America Drive in Reston, VA. The company will lease 20,914 square feet, occupying the entire 11th floor in the Class A building. In addition, Stanley Martin Homes’ Northern Virginia Division office and design center has relocated to 14200 Park Meadow Drive in Chantilly, VA. The 14,299 square-foot space is located on the first floor of the first floor of Victory Point in Westfields Office Park.

Representing Stanley Martin Homes in both leases was Steven Schaumberg, who has been SMH’s leasing advisor for the last 20 years. According to Schaumberg, the regional office and showroom are now located closer to the company’s projects and employees while the new headquarters space at Plaza America offers many amenities, including the adjacent, 165,000- square-foot retail center, which features a Whole Foods, Starbucks, and multiple restaurants and shops. It also offers “strong branding” with a Stanley Martin Homes sign featured on top of the building.

The Plaza America landlord, Atlantic Realty and Tamares, was represented by Terry Reiley of CBRE. The Victory Point landlord, CARR Properties, was represented by Andy Klaff of Colliers International.

Project Management

Kathy Thomas, Gabriella Parra, and Kristina Leighty of Cresa’s project management team oversaw the build-out at both locations, including design, IT, security, construction, and relocation.

This move marks Stanley Martin Homes’ 50th anniversary of designing and building homes for its customers in Maryland, Northern Virginia, Charlottesville, Richmond, and Raleigh.
