Cresa Madison Earns Multiple CoStar Power Broker Awards

CoStar Group Honors Firm for Third Year in a Row

March 25, 2014

Cresa Madison was honored with multiple 2013 Power Broker Awards by the CoStar Group, commercial real estate’s leading independent research firm. This annual award recognizes the “best of the best” in commercial real estate brokerage by spotlighting the U.S. firms and individual brokers who closed the highest transaction volume in commercial property sales or leases for the entire year of 2013 in their respective markets.

This marks the third consecutive year the Madison-based corporate tenant advisory firm, Cresa, earned the accolade for Top Leasing Firm in the Madison market. In addition to being named a Top Leasing Firm, two Managing Principals, Tim Rikkers and Josh Rikkers, also received recognition as Power Brokers from the CoStar group on the individual level.

Tim Rikkers’ notable clients that completed transactions in 2013 included Sub-Zero, The Ariens Company, WTS Paradigm and Shopbop. Josh Rikkers’ notable transactions included a deal with Wells Fargo Bank which triggered construction for a new commercial development on Madison’s West Side.

“Cresa Madison is very pleased to be honored again this year by the CoStar Group,” said Tim Rikkers, Managing Principal at Cresa Madison. “It is an exciting time for our firm and for the marketplace as a whole; we are seeing more activity in all industry sectors as companies expand and make longer-term commitments to the greater Madison area.

The Power Broker Awards came shortly after Cresa Madison was honored by the Commercial Brokers Group of Madison with a 2013 ‘Deal of the Year’ award in the Investment category for the lease of a new building for WTS Paradigm that helped make a $10.5 million sale of Esser Place from U.S. Bank to Compass Properties possible.  These awards validate Cresa Madison’s continued commitment to excellence in the Madison real estate market.
