January 31, 2014

Cresa is renewing its sponsorships of PGA Tour professional Brendan Steele and LPGA Hall of Fame golfer Amy Alcott, as well as initiating sponsorship of Fred Funk.

Cresa, North America’s leading tenant representation firm, announced today that it had renewed its sponsorship of PGA Tour professional Brendan Steele and LPGA Hall of Fame golfer Amy Alcott. In addition, the firm is now a sponsor of legendary golfer Fred Funk, who currently plays on both the PGA Tour and the Champions Tour.

CEO Jim Leslie said, “Sponsoring Brendan, Fred, and Amy is a natural fit for Cresa.  Just like us, they are specialists, and they are successful at the highest level. They have skills that set them apart, just as Cresa does. We’re excited to be their sponsors.”

Brendan Steele won the 2010 Nationwide Tour Championship in a playoff and joined the PGA Tour in 2011. In just his 12th start there he won the Valero Texas Open and later that year was in contention for the PGA Championship title in his first major championship appearance. The personable Steele earned a Business Administration degree at the University of California – Riverside, where he also won five tournaments and was an Academic All-America selection.

Fred Funk, a longtime fan favorite, has eight PGA Tour victories, including three Champions Tour major championships - the 2008 & 2010 JELD-WEN Tradition and the 2009 U.S. Senior Open.  He also won the 2005 Players Championship. He became the fifth oldest player to win on the PGA Tour with his victory at the 2007 Mayakoba Classic. He won two Champions Tour events in 2012 – the Insperity Championship and the Greater Hickory Classic at Rock Barn.

Amy Alcott is a highly celebrated and well respected champion of the game, on and off the course. She is a member of the LPGA and World Golf Halls of Fame. During her 27-year career she was most recognized as the LPGA’s finest and most creative shot-maker and her go-for-the-pin style of play was the bedrock for her 32 professional tournaments captured worldwide including five major championships. She is currently serving as co-designer of the golf course for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
