Brant is a founding leader of both Fairways Equities and Cresa Capital Markets. Brant is a specialist in creative and efficient financing of facilities through leases, purchases, joint ventures and other financial structures.
Brant has provided both financial and real estate leadership for projects of major corporations throughout the country, including Conoco-Phillips, Isis Pharmaceuticals, Ecolabs, Cisco Systems, CVS Drugstores, Chiron, Genentech, Texas Instruments and 7-11. Under his leadership, his clients and investment funds he led acquired over $6 billion in properties. He led the formation and management of several acquisition funds for Wolverine, including NLP Net Lease Properties, a $300 million fund partnered with Westbrook Partners, as well as Wolverine 2000 Fund, a $200 million partnership funded by several high net worth individuals. Collectively, Wolverine and its affiliated partnerships produced a total rate of return in excess of 25% to its investors and no partnership yielded a loss.
Brant facilitated several private equity placements for start-up ventures, including Sebring Capital Corporation, a subprime mortgage lender. Brant served as Sebring’s Chairman of the Board of Directors during the first six years of its existence. During his tenure he assisted several emerging companies, two of which subsequently became publicly traded, with accessing start-up capital, developing business plans, and formation of the management team. In addition he led the establishment of several new lines of business within Fairways Equities, Cresa Capital Markets, and The Staubach Company.
With extensive background in corporate real estate, real estate finance, and real estate accounting, Brant is a frequent speaker for real estate and financial organizations. Brant has been quoted as an authority in these matters by the New York Times, CFO, National Real Estate Investor, and The Wall Street Journal.
Brant has served for several semesters as an Adjunct Instructor at both Harding University and Abilene Christian University. He is active in support of several not-for-profit organizations in the Dallas area, nationally, and abroad. Brant serves as an elder and in other roles at his church.
