Client Objectives

The firm had been located in its former building for over twenty-five years. The firm’s partners wanted a new look in a single-use office building while remaining in downtown Albany, so they would have to relocate.

During the space programming assessment, Cresa determined that the client was leasing more square footage than needed. A market search identified eleven potential new locations that would meet the firm’s spatial and other requirements.

After narrowing down the list to a few properties, Cresa was able to negotiate compelling relocation options that helped the firm find a space that was substantially smaller than their current space, but provided a layout that felt more spacious with less costs.

Cresa Albany helped us come to the conclusion that we didn’t need as much space as we currently had. They helped us see what was available by showing us options that were very diverse. Our new space was developed to meet our specific needs and feels bigger to everyone that visits us, but with substantial cut in our footprint.
