Cresa Promotes Coakley and Delaney to Principal

New partners offer strategic insight to help lead the firm's growth

The Boston office of Cresa, the world’s largest tenant-only commercial real estate firm, is pleased to announce the promotions of John Coakley and Paul Delaney to the position of principal. John and Paul have been with Cresa since 2011, serving most recently as senior vice presidents. As principals, they will be responsible for further developing Cresa’s Boston team of tenant advisors while continuing to grow its portfolio.

John Coakley - Principal

John represents a variety of local and national tenants, helping them implement their real estate needs with a focus in Boston’s urban and inner suburban markets. Through an intimate understanding of the local market and an international platform, John and his team have the resources to service both corporate clients and young, growing Boston-based companies. With a focus on emerging tech and life science, John and his team's responsibilities include business development, project support, due diligence, quality control and daily coordination on behalf of their clients.

John received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Fairfield University. He serves on the Cresa Charity Committee and is a member of the Commercial Brokers Association (CBA) and the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP).

Paul Delaney - Principal

As a member of Cresa’s Urban Team, Paul represents a variety of local and national tenants, helping them implement their real estate needs. With a focus on the healthcare, life sciences and professional services industries, Paul has a successful track record of advising clients through complex lease transactions. Paul’s understanding of businesses enables him to structure and create transactions that complement tenants’ financial and strategic drivers. He has been responsible for major leases, lease renewals, relocations, and expansions of prominent clients in Cambridge, Boston and the inner suburban markets. 

Paul earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Bowdoin College. He is a member of the Commercial Brokers Association (CBA) and the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP). Paul also serves on the Alumni Network for both Bowdoin College and St. Paul’s School.
