Cresa Announces Five New Hires to the Beijing Office

Cresa, the world’s only global occupier-centric commercial real estate (“CRE”) firm, announced the hire of five new industry professionals in Beijing. Hebe Li, Leo Li, May Liu, Miranda Mao and Phoebe Ren join the Beijing team in senior- and junior-level advisory roles. The new additions bring a wealth of market knowledge and professional experience from their previous positions and will work to support the office’s growing occupier representation practice.

Hebe Li, former Director of Office Services at Colliers International North China, joins Cresa’s Beijing office as a Partner and Managing Principal. She has built a reputation providing strategic real estate planning and transaction management services for state-owned enterprises and Global 500 and multi-national firms in the region over the last 12 years. As Partner and Managing Principal, Hebe will be responsible for developing growth strategies for businesses, monitoring operational efficiency, expanding the office’s scope of service, supporting overall professional development and meeting the fast-changing demands of Cresa’s growing clientele.

“I am very honored to be in this position,” says Hebe. “This is a unique opportunity for Cresa to bolster its advisory services for our clients here in Beijing. I’m very happy to have the chance to work with a great team and to experience the unique corporate culture Cresa has to offer. The company’s expansion in response to the fast-growing corporate real estate industry in Beijing proves that we are committed to providing the best services to our valued clients in the Chinese and international marketplace.”

The industry veteran is joined by four team members, also from the Office Services Division at Colliers,  who will work to further strengthen Cresa's ability to provide first-class advisory services.

Leo Li, Director has been a CRE industry professional for more than 19 years. He began his career as in asset management for developers and, since 2009, has shifted his focus to represent corporate space users. Leo specializes in creating and implementing real estate strategies that support his client’s long- and short-term business plans.

May Liu, Associate Director began her career in the industry more than nine years ago. Her experience includes providing comprehensive consulting and location analysis for business centers, developers and occupiers. Her previous role working with landlords affords her valuable knowledge to guide her clients in making informed decisions with regards to their real estate.

Miranda Mao, Senior Manager has three years of experience as a CRE professional. Specializing in site selection, Miranda works with technology and media clients to understand their real estate challenges and find tailored solutions to address their problems.

Phoebe Ren, Manager has spent two years in the real estate industry. In this short time, her in-depth knowledge and study of the office market and current events has successfully aided numerous clients in achieving sustainable real estate solutions.

“We are thrilled to have Hebe and her team join Cresa. She is a great asset and will improve our overall ability to serve our clients and assist in the rapid growth of the occupier strategy team,” says Philip Wang, Executive Managing Director. “I believe that with the addition of Ms. Li, we will be able to provide a full range of corporate real estate solutions and sustainable facilities for more corporate clients. Four years ago, when I joined Cresa, I was passionate about building a culture that values personal achievements and encourages creative thinking – these new additions truly speak to that. They are an added value to our company and clients."

"This appointment reaffirms our commitment to growing the occupier-only advisory business in China,” adds Senior Managing Director Reuben Xu. “Hebe is an outstanding leader who is well-established in the industry and has achieved outstanding results in her career. We need more heavyweight professionals like her to join us in response to our clients' growing needs. The Chinese real estate market is growing and hires like Hebe and her team strengthen our clients’ trust in our firm.”

The addition of these experienced professionals to the Beijing office “reflects the success of CEO Jim Underhill’s vision to grow the company, foster a strong culture in the workplace, and provide high impact services to its clients.” Since the beginning of 2019, Cresa has recruited 150 new employees worldwide, including in New York, Silicon Valley, Atlanta, Boston, San Francisco and now Beijing, expanding the number of global companies to nearly 1,200 tenant representatives.
