Description

The responsibilities of the Financial Analyst will be to provide financial analysis, analytical decision support services and technical expertise for the dynamic and growing Cresa office specializing in tenant representation in the leasing, subleasing and renegotiation of office space. The Analyst will assist Cresa clients in optimizing their real estate strategies by developing comprehensive financial models, conducting research on the financial condition of prospective landlord properties, and performing analyses of alternative occupancy solutions for proposals, pitches and board packages. The Analyst ideally participates in pitches to present financial models to senior group leaders and clients. Advanced expertise in Excel is required.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate core competencies in the following areas:

  • Prepare financial modeling presenting and comparing the financial impact of alternative transaction structures and occupancy solutions.
  • Creating financial models with Excel (advanced Excel skills preferred).
  • Present financial models to Advisors and clients.
  • Assist with the due diligence required for comprehensive analysis of transaction risks and benefits.
  • Participate in pitch presentations with prospects and client meetings and lead discussions on financial modeling.
  • Keep current with market trends and industry knowledge.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following degrees, certificates or competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Masters in Financing/Accounting or business/real estate degree.
  • Two (2) to eight (8) of extensive financial analyses knowledge – prior experience preferably in the commercial real estate industry.
  • Extensive experience with developing financial models to present and compare the financial impact of alternative lease scenarios.
  • Advanced proficiency with PC applications such as Argus, Microsoft Excel, and Word with strong financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision and manage tight deadlines.
  • Dependable, flexible, ability to balance challenges and able to deal with strong personalities.
  • Possess strong attention to detail.
