Wrigley Jr., Company, Chicago is not only a vital economic nucleus for the entire country but also an international hub for the banking, transportation, business services, consumer products, and trade markets.  Our market tends to be far less exposed to variations in the economy as compared to other major metropolitan markets, mostly because it is not oversaturated and is well diversified.  Chicago is home to a vibrant office market consisting of over 400 million square feet of space as well as the national hub for the production, distribution, and supply chain economy consisting of 1.2 billion square feet of floor area.  While Chicago is not immune to the economic downturn of the global recession, our market is expected to recover steadily through 2010 as unemployment rates begin to decline and other economic indicators begin to level out.
